Stuck In The Middle With You - And Thankful For It

I have so much to be thankful for.  I am thankful for my work, for my afflictions, for those I am able to serve, and especially for my family.  Here is a great link about being in the middle:

1 John 5:11-12

And this is the record

That God hath given to us eternal life

And this life is in his Son.

He that hath the Son hath life

And he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Thankful For A Body of Flesh And Bone

BODY

The mortal, physical structure of flesh and bones created in God’s image that is combined with a spirit to make up a living person. The physical bodies of all men and women will be reunited eternally with their spirits in the resurrection. The scriptures sometimes refer to a body and spirit joined together as a soul (Gen. 2:7D&C 88:15;Moses 3:7, 9, 19Abr. 5:7).
The Lord God formed man of the dust of the groundGen. 2:7 (Moses 3:7).
Handle me and see, for a spirit has not flesh and bonesLuke 24:39
I discipline my body and bring it into subjection1 Cor. 9:27
There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body1 Cor. 15:44
The body without the spirit is deadJames 2:26
The mortal body will be raised as an immortal bodyAlma 11:43–45
Every part of the body shall be restoredAlma 41:2
Jesus showed his resurrected body to the Nephites3 Ne. 10:18–193 Ne. 11:13–15
The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son alsoD&C 130:22
God created male and female in the image of his own bodyMoses 6:9 (Gen. 9:6).

Your body is a temple, a gift from God!

It's So Hard To See When My Eyes Are On Me

Make My Life A Prayer To You

Make my life a prayer to You,
I want to do what you want me to,
No empty words and no white lies,
No token prayers, no compromise,
I want to shine the light you gave,
Through Your Son, you sent to save us,
From ourselves and our despair,
It comforts me to know you're really there.

Oh, I want to thank you now, for being patient with me,
Oh, it's so hard to see, when my eyes are on me,
I guess I'll have to trust and just believe what you say,
Oh, you're coming again, coming to take me away,

I want to die, and let you give,
Your life to me, so I might live,
And share the hope you gave to me,
The love that set me free,
I want to tell the world out there,
You're not some fable or fairy tail,
That I made up inside my head,
You're God, The Son, you've risen from the dead.

Oh, I want to thank you now,
For being patient with me,
Oh, it's so hard to see,
When my eyes are on me,
I guess I'll have to trust,
and just believe what you say,
Oh, you're coming again,
Coming to take me away.

I want to die, and let you give,
Your life to me, so I might live,
And share the hope you gave to me,
I want to share the love that set me free.

Our Savior's Love

Edward L. Hart, who wrote the hymn, stated, “Our Savior’s Love” grew out of a figure of speech.  “The simile goes back to seeing people in a fabric or clothing store take material outside and into the sunlight to test its color in the only true or perfect source of light.  In the same way, the only true test of love is the source, our Savior’s love.”

Crawford Gates, who composed the music, stated, “Though I am aware that all creativity comes from God, perhaps three times in my career I have been very aware of melodic ideas coming as a direct gift from Him.  This was one of those times.”

Our Savior’s love
Shines like the sun with perfect light,
As from above
It breaks thru clouds of strife.
Lighting our way,
It leads us back into his sight,
Where we may stay
To share eternal life.

The Spirit, voice
Of goodness, whispers to our hearts
A better choice
Than evil’s anguished cries.
Loud may the sound
Of hope ring till all doubt departs,
And we are bound
To him by loving ties.

Our Father, God
Of all creation, hear us pray
In rev’rence, awed
By thy Son’s sacrifice.
Praises we sing.
We love thy law; we will obey.
Our heav’nly King,
In thee our hearts rejoice.

Time is short

I read the following today, "Our time is so short that we need to be about God's business every day."  I like that.
